YMAD

Yacimientos Mineros de Agua de Dionisio (YMAD) is a company with more than 50 years generating value for Argentina. YMAD is located in the province of Catamarca, being his principal partners the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán and the province of Catamarca.

Since 1978, YMAD produces gold and silver from the deposits of  Farallón Negro and Alto de la Blenda. In Farallón Negro, the company has developed a mining-industrial complex that brought a very huge economic and social growth to the nearby community.

Within its grant, it is also located the site of copper, gold and molybdenum Bajo La Alumbrera, one of the ten largest copper and gold deposits in the world. For the operation thereof, YMAD formed a joint venture with Minera Alumbrera Ltd, which operates the project since 1997.
